The first four hours are the same as for the intensive lesson. The last two hours are mainly dedicated to oral expression and comprehension or to the development of specific cultural themes.

The Italian language school Machiavelli is located in the historic centre of Florence. Focusing on creating a friendly and pleasant atmosphere, the school offers a variety of high-quality Italian language courses throughout the year at all levels. The structure and the contents of the programmes for the levels are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The school also organises a programme of cultural activities and excursions to complement the language classes and enable the students to come into contact with the Italian culture and to learn Italian friendly. Our teaching staff is carefully selected, highly trained and periodically updated. All the educators have years of experience which allow them to optimally deal with students of different ages, cultural backgrounds and motivations. Our teachers are able to turn multicultural classes into intercultural ones, while at the same time they having a role as entertainer, consultant and linguistic facilitator. Recognized consultancy and training organisation for lifelong learning accredited by the Region of Tuscany, Italy. (DGR 5879, 10/12/2008). Sponsor and partner on projects as part of education and training, financed by the European Commission, the region of Tuscany and the European Social Fund. Since 1988 it has been part of Tandem International, an international network of schools committed to the research and application of methodology based on linguistic and cultural exchange. In 2003 it obtained Official recognition of the Ministry of Education, University and Scientific Reserch (Prot. N° 3762). In 2005 it obtained Quality Certification in accordance with ISO standards (ISO 9001:2008). At the same time it becomes accredited with SCN Sweden (Swedish students are eligible for financial assistance through CSN to study the Italian language at our Centre) and for Bildungsurlaub for the regions of Hamburg and Berlin. The Centre furthermore is under the aegis of the Town of Florence for the participation in linguistic projects aimed at citizens outside the European Union.

Terms: Centro Machiavelli

- Services must be paid in full 1 days before the course starts in order to complete the enrolment and secure a place in the course and/or accommodation.
- Bookings are not transferable.
- Bank charges are payable by students
- Students must be 16 years of age or over

Cancellation Policy

- The cancelation needs to be communicated in writing to the school by the person that booked the course.
- Enrolment fees are non-refundable.
- The registration fee are non-refundable.
- No refund will be made for shortening the course duration after the payment.
- There is no refund for any cancellation once the course has commenced.
- No tuition refunds are given for late arrivals, early departures or absences, for whatever reason, from classes during any course.

Refund Policy

- If a course is cancelled more than 30 days before course start: % refund
- If a course is cancelled between 29 and 15 days before course start: % refund
- If a course is cancelled less than 14 days before the start date full price will be charged.

Visa Refusal

- In case a visa is refused to the student, the school will charge 10% of amount paid Euro and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student upon receipt of an original VISA refusal letter.

National holidays observed in the year 2017:

In the case of a travel visa being declined by an Italian Consular office, the student is entitled to a refund of 90% of the sum paid, available by sending all of the original documents emitted by the school to the school office and a copy of the letter explaining the refusal to grant the visa by the Embassy or Consulate.
