This is a specialised course which teaches the language and study skills necessary for high school entry. Students develop the English skills and knowledge required for successful participation in Australian school settings, including some subject-specific content that will enable them to follow the key learning areas, and a focus on communication for personal interaction in and out of class.

We conduct on-going assessment of the students’ progress, and every month we issue a detailed progress report, which includes a bar graph clearly showing their areas of improvement.

Classes from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday
Full-time study: 25 hours per week (with one lesson-free day per month)
Careful monitoring of student attendance, 3 times daily
A structured program with a different focus and interesting topics each month
Language and text-based curriculum catering for 5 different English levels
A Homework Diary with homework set each night
A Personal Development class once a week to encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and to allow discussion of the intercultural and developmental issues they face.
Regular, detailed assessment – weekly and monthly
Comprehensive written reports sent to agents and schools every month
At least 2 fun, course-related excursions or events every month
Sport and Library visits every Friday
*We have a 2 week holiday over Christmas and New Year. If a public holiday falls on a Monday, then we accept new students on the following day.
